The 2nd Street Festival is an annual event that celebrates the historic Jackson Ward neighborhood. TheĀ Jackson Ward community is often referred to as the "Harlem of the South" due to itĀ being a vibrant cultural and business district that thrived during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It wasĀ the center of African American economic and social life in Richmond, Virginia and played a crucial role in the city's history.

Venture Richmond is a non-profit organization based in Richmond, Virginia, dedicated to promoting and enhancing the vitality and vibrancy of the city's downtown area.
